There are DIY wallpapers available, but it can be difficult to install them beautifully.The unevenness of the substrate may cause the wallpaper to float, or there may be gaps between the wallpapers… There are some tips to beautifully finish the wall.

How to apply the wallpaper beautifully?

Smoothing out unevenness in the substrate

If there are unevenness in the base of the wallpaper, the wallpaper will float and it will not be beautiful. It may also peel off quickly due to the floating.
Use putty to smooth out any unevenness in the substrate.

Wipe off the glue thoroughly.

If the glue sticks out of the wallpaper, the glue will become shiny and the matte look of eterno will be lost. If the glue sticks out during the installation process, wipe it clean with a sponge moistened with water, and then wipe up with a rag.

Concrete base needs to be lye proofed.

Concrete is a substrate that is prone to lye and stains. All wallpaper should be lye proofed before installation.

It is recommended to hire a professional.

Careful surface preparation and installation as described above is difficult to do by yourself. Also, in the corners of the room and around complicated doors, it is still safe to leave it to the professionals.
